Joining the Youth Camp that Judd told us about was something we looked forward to this summer. Kishan, Richard and I are finally members of the YFC. West Sector. Now, it turned out to be an experience that we’ll never forget.
Hearing Judd’s stories about how amazing it feels like to be with other people from the city, hearing the talks from amazing speakers, and seeing God’s plan work within us has truly kept our hopes up for an amazing experience and now that it has ended, the camp has succeeded all my expectations, though i realized that it is better to hope but If there’s one person who will never ever disappoint us, it is God and Him inviting us to the camp was truly His plan for us.
We joined the YFC - GK, Cluster 1 camp that comprises of people from Villa Candida to Opol. At first, we were scared, knowing that we live from far away, we felt like we don’t belong. But we kept our hopes up and learned that it didn’t matter because the fact that God has caled us to the camp was something that no one can ever doubt. Meeting different faces from different walks of life was fun and inspiring. Having an idea about what their views in life are is more inspiring. Getting to know who really God is was the most inspiring event that has ever happened to me in the camp and he did it by using other people as instruments. Judd, the service team, our brothers and sisters, they all made it such a memorable experience for us and everything made sense to me.
Many insights and realizations filled my head, my heart and my spirit. The things I have heard were something to live out. The people I have met were crazy and at the same time became close to me in the 3 days, 2 nights i have spent with them. This line may be repeating, heard at any circumstances, by any person who believes Him, but now it’s my turn to say it. “Amazing jud kaayo si Lord :)”
As Kuya Tope says it, one can’t expect that after the joining the youth camp, one has turned into a saint because no, no one is perfect, we are all still the same. but we can aim to be one, like the One who is truly perfect because He, is everything to us who believe and knowing who He really is has given us the chance to start well and live out our life to the fullest in His grace. :)
